“NATURAL NYMPHAEA” - DURKAN DSCVR STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION

​“Natural Nymphea” is a carpet collection inspired by nature, capturing the restorative calm of being immersed in the outdoors. Drawing from organic elements such as lily pads, moss, fungus, meandering stems, and gentle ripples, the designs emulate environments where growth is exuberant and full of life. Working within an aquatic palette, “Natural Nymphea” utilizes layered hues to create a lusciously green composition that feels both grounded and ethereal. The abstracted motifs are reinterpreted through hand-drawn and painted forms, bringing movement and softness to the surface. Altogether, the collection fosters a tranquil atmosphere suited for luxury hospitality environments, offering guests not just a visual experience, but a sensory retreat into nature’s quiet elegance.
